Family Fun @ Home

Chas got the family participating in dress-up fun! I love my family!!!
~Be praying for God to do amazing things as our family is heading to
Frontliners next week with a handfull of our students.~

"Wondering Home"

Have you ever wondered, "Where am I, and What am I doing here?" Well, I have many times. I am striving to daily seeking my Lord to show me His direction because I know I'm lost and wondering without HIM!

Illustration: Think of my Chastity & Cherish in a big mall and suddenly Mommy or Daddy no where to be found. They have no sense of direction as children in that big place. And even if they start to wonder, most likely they will not be able to find their way to us or where we came from. But Mommy or Daddy could show them the way!!!

...That is so like us in life! We are wondering through day to day and God says, "I want to give you direction... the right directions. But its your choice to take my path." That is one thing I love about God, He doesn't force HIS way on anyone, but instead lets us choose it. And many times HIS ways are not "our" ways, but leads to much better blessings if we choose HIS way! So what's His way? Well, for one its eternal life with the one who loves us more than anyone else could even wish too, instead of separation from HIM and agony for eternity. "Confess that Jesus is LORD and you will be saved!" And although I don't know all the rest of the answers and I'm not one to pretend to, this I do know: Our faithfulness to HIM leads to His blessings along the way. So when its not easy, and man do I know life isn't always easy, seeking HIM and asking for HIS direction daily will keep us on HIS path. Everyone else in life will want to offer "the way" we should go, whether with good or bad intentions, but NO ONE else's direction will keep us directly on HIS path, so seek HIM ONLY!

{"We are never lost when we are in the arms of Jesus. He'll remain by our side, and He'll deliver us safely back to HIS heavenly home, where we can bask in the presence of our loving Father for all eternity."} --this was a quote from my quiet time with HIM this morning out of, Completely Blessed, by Shannon Ethridge. (Ladies Completely HIS-book is a MUST READ!)

So, we can be like Jonah and go our own way instead of God's and end up in the belly of the whale, so to speak, or we can choose HIS way the first time. Although it's not been easy I want to stay on HIS path! Let's lift each other up and encourage one another along life's road to the presence of our loving Father!

Siloam Camp 2008

Clay gettin' pumped up at REC time!
Well, here is just one of the tricks Chas learned on camp week...
she had already taught herself to do the fish lips but Olivia added the crossing eyes
and it stuck...LOL! They were cuties!
Actually, I didn't quite catch the picture, because they really did
cross their eyes too.

Clay and his new buddy James, (bald guy on left) and a couple others from Camp!

Concord Baptist kids at Siloam Camp 2008

Chas & Cher had a blast at camp! When we were packing up to head home she said, "Mom I don't want to go home, I just want to stay here at camp!" I think she had fun plus got a little spoiled by the Youth girls. Thanks girls for loving on our babies! Yall are sweet.

On the way home, Chas wanted to ride the tour bus with Daddy & all the kids

and again had a blast!
Her new trick... again! Too cute!

Okay this was the most VICIOUS and CRUEL game I have seen yet, but I TOTALLY Loved it! LOL It was called Cowboys and Indians... do you see the blue things on these girls heads... well that my dear would be DUCK TAPE! Yes 100% real duck tape that HURTS like you know what when ripped off. Well technically I wouldn't know due to, thankfully I was taking pictures, therefore did not play! Thanks for that one God! Anyway, one team (red tape) would circle around the other team (blue tape) and on the whistle would race to "scalp" off the tape from the opposite team. The only rules, guys couldn't rip off the girls tape, and rightfully so because this game got very intense and dangerous and lets just say hard core! However, I was pretty impressed with the girls and how into it they got! It was AWESOME! Our team won both times might I add. I must say I was very proud of yall during this game and hadn't laughed that much in quite some time!
The girls with more of the students...

I'm not sure who had more fun, my girls with them or vise versa!

Of course how could you not fall in love with my babies! ;)

(okay i know I know... that was a Momma statement, but TRUE!)
Lots of relay games and awesome competition. I still say RED team got jacked- they should have won! Oh well, yall are winners in my book!

Here Clay is pumping up the RED team!
You know Clay, he gets more into than the kids half the time.
Kristin, Tori and Maggie got Cherish started on saying, "Peace"
and doing the peace sign and they did it all week long! Cute!!!
(sorry Maggie I missed you in this pic.)

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day Clay!
You are a wonderful Daddy to our girls and we are blessed we have you.
(Not too sure what the girls are looking at but I thought this picture was too cute!)

Enjoying being with Daddy... looks like he doesn't mind it too much either, huh?!

Kisses for Daddy!

flower picking...

(Everytime the girls go outside they love to pick flowers! As much as I love my flowers, I can't bring myself to not allowing them to pick them. I see it as them enjoying Gods beautiful creation. Plus the flowers will grow back but my girls won't always be out picking our flowers!)

Hug Daddeey!

This last picture is a glimpse of what Daddy experiences everyday he comes home. (You can barely see him in this picture due to the sun, but he is coming around the back of the car.) The girls both run to him yelling "Daddeey" usually and greet him with tight embraces to his legs unless he gets down in time to catch the HUGS! Chas and Cherish both love and adore their Daddy and I must say that I am beyond thankful for a husband who cares so much for our children. "Hunny we are proud of you and love you very much. Have a Happy Father's Day! (You deserve it!)"

Family Road trip -Branson, MO

Pretty Chastity Girl at The Dixie Stampede
The girls loved looking at the Horses! Chas was quite impressed
while Cher got her fill then wanted to run...

Precious Silly Baby

Chas loved all the girls dressed up in their BIG dresses!
Cher didn't want anything to do with them though!

Learnin to Ride their horseys!

Chas and Cher would always act like their umbrellas at home were stick horses and run around yelling, "horsey horsey," riding them together. I was going to make them some stick horses, but we found these cute ones at Dixie Stampede and they even make noises!

The girls and their new horseys!
Chas named hers "Amy" and Cher's is just plain "Horsey!"
Gettin ready for the show! They were so excited.
I love this one... the flash caught her sweet little eyes!

Daddy surprised us by coming home one afternoon and saying, "we are going on a road trip this weekend!" He knew we all needed to get away together and even though I fought with migraines all weekend, it was well worth it! I love spending time with my family!

Chas' silliness

Chas had been quiet in her room for quiet some time, then came to the kitchen to show what she had been doing... this cracked me up and I had to take pictures!
She had put her press on fingernails on her toenails all by herself!!!
How cute and funny! She enjoyed the laugh she gave us all!
Hilarious!

Memorial Day Weekend- Fun with Maw Maw

Mom had a project for the girls to do and not only did they love every minute of doing it, but I think the products turned out rather cute! Check out their painted birdhouses (which now are hanging in Mom's flower gardens) and their flower and sunshine...
Cher proudly displaying her "Sunshine!"
Working hard! Chas painted her house almost entirely by herself!
Her lady bugs were even her finger prints. It turned out adorable!!!
Painting out on the deck in the beautiful Sunshine while the guys golfed!
The girls love being in Maw Maws lap (I don't think she minds it too much either)... she has a way of making every moment fun and memorable! Thanks Mom for being such a wonderful grandmother for my babies!
...Cher is Maw Maw's Butterfly.
This picture was too cute... Cher and Daddy one the basement steps being silly!

Maw Maw and the girls made strawberry shortcake one night. Uncle Pooh and his Dad came in town for a round of golf with Clay and Dad at their neighborhood golf course... so they treated us all to a yummy dessert!
Working hard!!!
With a taste here and there!!!
That's the chef priviledges, right Cher girl?!
