Dancing with God

"What is it like to dance with God?"

"Dancing with God is allowing Him to take our breath away as He whirls us through the dark and light places that life leads us. It is relaxing into His embrace and trusting fully in His strong arms. It is releasing the power of the Spirit within us to give us joy beyond measure. It is reveling in the unexpected and celebrating the divine surprise that is each new day. It is rejoicing out loud at the grace and beauty God provides and ignoring the calls of the crowd to sit down and quit grinning. But above all else, dancing with God is learning to let go!"

A House Offer

Okay to update those of you who are our prayer warriors or just wanted to know whats going on... we have had an offer on our house- which was way low and out of question simply because we have to get a little out of the deal in order to pay off a couple loans we have pending the sale. So we have counter offered as of this morning and are praying that God miraculously does something awesome. I'm trying my best to trust HIM! I know that HE is in control whether this deal goes through or not- I'm just not good at the waiting thing. However, this morning I just felt the Lord press upon my heart to let go and let HIM work and just trust HIM and my husband. So I decided to just simply shut-up and let Clay make the decision as far as what to counter offer and respond to this couple. As you probably know, that's not easy for me- but I pray the Lord honors and blesses it. Please pray for God's wisdom and guidance as we go through this. We should hear back this evening if the couple qualifies for the price Clay offered and is still interested. THANKS FOR ALL YOU MUCH NEEDED PRAYERS!

First Day of Preschool

So excited about leaving to go to school!!!

Cherish had her favorite, boiled eggs, for breakfast before school.
Daddy with the girls...

Momma and her sweeties!
I was praying all morning that they didn't cry when I left them and tho they were a little unsure of the newness, they did great going in with a little distractions and ended up having a wonderful first day of Preschool. (Momma didn't even cry!)
Heading in...Chas wanting to take Cherish to her class first. Cherish wanting to go to class with sissy.
The next day Chas kept asking when she got to go back to school again!

My Husband!

Let me just tell you a little about this man… number one he puts up with me and that should be enough said! No but really there are many days that I am just in awe of what the Lord has given him the strength and abilities to do. Right now he has two full time jobs. One as a Youth Pastor and I just wish you could see inside his heart to see how much he genuinely cares for these kids. He is a big kid himself so its awesome watching him interact with the students. Then he also now is the Music Minister at our church. God has so gifted him in leading others to the feet of Jesus in worship & with an amazingly beautiful voice. I love to hear him sing but especially in praises to the Lord. (Shaboutaque doesn’t count- and I’m sure I spelled that wrong.)

And of course as a Daddy- you should just hear our girls when Daddy is leaving to head to work. This is just a glimpse of what is said… “Hugs and Kisses Daddy. And hugs and kisses for Sissy tooooo. I love you with All my heart Daddy. Can I go with you to work Daddy. I wana go wit you Dahdee! (here comes the fussing to see if that will work) {Girls- Daddy has to go to work, but I will see you in a little bit. Have a good day and be good for Mommy. I love yall with ALL my heart too.} More Hugs and kisses Daddy…I love you with all my heart too...” Needless to say- his getting out of the house is never a quick thing. But he always takes time to let them know their Daddy loves them. It’s precious- and boy do they know that. They have him wrapped around their little fingers, but the feeling is mutual!

And as a husband!... If you received our Christmas card this will somewhat be a repeat, but I honestly know that there is no man on this earth who would love me the way Clay Weed does. He is such a great husband. No I didn’t say perfect (he doesn’t always pick up his shoes or throw his clothes in the laundry- lol)… but he is perfect for me! He loves me even when I don’t feel loveable- if that makes sense. But one of my favorite things about my hubby is how he can make me laugh like no one else. Sometimes, yes, he gets cheesy with it but I still love it! As you can see in this picture he is just pure fun! His love gives me a “glimpse” of Gods love for me!

Thank you Clay for every sacrifice you make for our family. You are wonderful and we look forward to many more years of loving you and sharing life!
I'll love you always & forever...
~Your blessed wife!~

Christmas Morning

The excitement is one of my favorite things to capture on Christmas Morning each year. Chastity loves getting gifts! She has been wanting to play guitar with Daddy so was so excited about getting her very own little guitar. And as I post this in January (almost a month after Christmas) she has been going around the house strumming a tune while singing her songs- I love to watch her get so into it.
And little Cherish got a Ukulele... Really a little guitar her size. She is funny and can make the most of everything in life having a blast. I love the bed head in this picture. I could just squeeze her she is so adorable!!!!

The story behind this picture is that Chas has basically dreamed of having a jewelry box with a dancing ballerina in it. So we finally found one that was reasonable this year and Daddy got it for her for Christmas. I wish you could have seen her mesmerized watching the dancing ballerina when she opened the jewelry box and heard the music. It was priceless!

Cher got a tent/tunnel/tee pee for Christmas and the girls had a blast that entire morning playing in it and having "Camp outs" in it with all their new toys and babies.

Each Christmas Morning before the girls can go in and see what "Santa" brought them, we read and let the girls tell the true Christmas story. They got so into it this year. We used the nativity scene they made last year (Momma had plans for them to make a new one each year- but this year came too fast and it just slipped my mind until late Christmas Eve night- so we improvised). Everyone acted out the part of the character they had. Of course there was a fuss over who got Baby Jesus- but it worked out. Its so neat to see how much they really already know this story at such a young age.

Maw Maw & Girls!
Sweet Sissy Kisses
Thank you Lord for another wonderful Christmas... Happy Birthday Jesus!

Chas & Daddy Singing

Chastity sang "I Could Sing of Your Love Forever" with Clay during church a couple Sunday nights ago. It was so sweet. She did great singing on key and remembering every word. Chas is growing up so so fast! She is such a blessing!

Get'n Ready for Santa

Well the girls got all cozy in their new PJ's then we got out the cookies and milk for Santa before bedtime. Sweet kisses then an excited dash to bed with anticipation of what the morning ahead would hold.

Christmas Eve PJ's

It has been a tradition with my Mom that every Christmas Eve we have been able to open one gift before we go to bed. And it a lot of the time has been PJ's. So she continued the tradition with the girls this year. We gave them a bath and wrapped them up while they opened their new Jammies. This year Mom got her, me and the girls all matching ones. They were cute!

Christmas Eve with Friends

Morgan, Bradley, Cherish and Chastity on Christmas Eve. Ugh Oh! Watch out Santa! These two aren't messing around... you better bring them something good. ;)

Here comes Santa...

Our good friends Keith and Jamie invited us over for Christmas Eve Dinner and to see Santa (which rides through their neighborhood every Christmas Eve on the top of the fire truck to throw candy to the kids). Chas and Cherish LOVED it as you see. There is a story behind their little boy, Bradley, and Chastity cutting and shooting Santa-- but let's just leave it at Bon Qui Qui! We all had a blast together! Thank you Lord for such a sweet friends!

Christmas with Dad

Dad came over on Christmas Eve for Christmas with us. It was actually a sad day for me as far as the first division of the family for Christmas. However, we had a peaceful day and a great time with Dad. The girls were thrilled as soon as he pulled up and ran outside to greet him. He has such a giving heart and spoiled us with Christmas gifts. It was so nice to spend the day with him!
